Renato Leite Monteiro is e&’s vice president, legal for privacy, data protection, AI, and IP. e& is a global telco/tech company based in the UAE. Previously, he served as global head of privacy and global data protection officer at X/Twitter, leading complex privacy and AI challenges worldwide.
Leite Monteiro is a fellow at the Oxford Internet Institute, focusing on AI transparency and accountability, and a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Coalition for Digital Safety. He holds a PhD in AI regulation and master’s degrees from NYU and NUS and has contributed to global policy discussions on privacy and technology for over 15 years.
